Webb14 nov. 2014 · Sharlot Hall is described as a rancher, poet, writer, editor, an activist and a museum founder. She was also a women’s rights supporter. She never married. Melcher said Hall was against traditional marriages because she thought they oppressed women. WebbSharlot Hall was also a ranch woman who lived on her family’s ranch in Lonesome Valley from the 1880s to 1927. Also a historian, writer and editor, Hall sometimes found the isolation of ranch life tedious, and she sold the ranch after her father died. However, from her writing, it is easy to see that she enjoyed nature and the great outdoors.
