Webb27 okt. 2013 · After examining at the fingerboard and bridge, I bought some Ebony blanks to use with the kit. To my observations, Richlite seems quite durable but in consistency falls somewhere between wood and slate. I may yet use the fingerboard on another guitar but wouldn't consider using anything but real wood for a bridge. Webb3 nov. 2024 · Objectively speaking, Richlite is actually a very good material to make a fingerboard with. Richlite never shrinks, swells, warps, cups or twists over time.

Webb11 apr. 2015 · I'm thinking of the "Richlite" boards. They are a rubber/plastic substance, made out of resin. Not wood, at all. They look okay, and they shouldn't make any difference in the sound and playability of the guitar. Sure not traditional, though. Webb19 feb. 2024 · Richlite. That knife picture posted earlier: Looks like it went through the dishwasher. A lot. Nothing made of multiple materials should go through the dishwasher. Knives specifically, but *especially* guitars. The rapid heating and cooling with hot water and steam will make almost anything made of dissimilar materials come apart eventually.
